![]() ![]() INSTALLATION, DRAWINGS AND RELIEFS TEXT by Kata Adamek (text in english/pdf) I showed "Korean Winter Yurt" during my "Open Studio" exhibition. It was a summary of my more than two months stay in HPAC (Hooyong Performing Art Centre) in South Korea. The "Artist in residency" program was organized and held by the Nottle Theatre, which is an independent theatre located 1,5 bus hours east of Seoul. Continuing my "Shelters" exhibition and transporting my yurts to Korea, I was curious of new forms and new "local" materials. Most of all I was fascinated by hanji - traditional, Korean paper, made from pulp of the mulberry-tree. My other objects and drawings were a colourful reaction on my new surroundings - Korea, mountains and sea. Korea, multifacets of food and eating culture. Korea, the forms purification toward their cores, where "emptiness" is as important as "completeness".
